You know what Londoners need? More excuses to be lazy. To save us all valuable time on our feet, London is getting its first drive-through bank. Yep, that's a thing – you drive up, roll up your cash and put it in a handy tube-shaped contraption, slot it into a deposit machine and it will miraculously end up in your account without you having to even look at another human being. Yes, apparently some people actually put money in to the bank.

Metro Bank

Metro Bank will open the drive-through service today at the glamorous location of Hayes Bridge Retail Park in Southall where it will be open seven days a week. The only downside is that you need a car, obviously. That, and the fact that you can't get a side of fries with your cash deposit, but surely it's only a matter of time.

Find out what London could look like in 2045.
