The lovely folks behind Stoke Newington café The Haberdashery are spreading Christmas joy to lonely Londoners this year, by offering a free festive lunch for those who would otherwise be spending it on their own. This Christmas Day, they'll be serving up a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings for up to 30 people, as well as an afternoon of entertainment including a big old game of bingo. The café is also raising money to pay for taxis so that those who are less able to walk will still be able to attend. Co-owner Massimo Bergamin says he has been inundated with donations and people offering to volunteer. See? Londoners can be nice sometimes!
