Movies ahoy! Rooftop Film Club is taking up residency on a boat

Having already conquered London's rooftops and underground spaces, Rooftop Film Club has gone and bagged itself a riverside residency on a boat. Seeing as they won't be on a rooftop for this one, they're calling it the HMS Film Club (y'know, like Her Majesty's Ship?). They'll be dropping anchor at Victoria Embankment to screen five modern classics of feel-good cinema aboard the Good Ship Benefit.

Sit back in a cushioned cabana on the Hawaiian-inspired Hoola deck surrounded by a view of London usually reserved for sailors, passing pirates and other boaty people. We love the genius bit of programming that means you can catch that love story plus-boat-sinking-tragedy movie 'Titanic' while sat on an actual boat. Or lose your heart all over again to Leo romancing Clare Danes in ‘Romeo + Juliet’, cheer on the underdog in ‘Muriel’s Wedding’, laugh at those farcical friends in ‘When Harry Met Sally...’ or remember the scary wonder that is Meryl Streep in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. The £25 ticket price also includes a complimentary glass of Pimm’s and some Tyrell’s Poshcorn to munch on.

The feel-good vibe from the films continue with a crew of Benefit beauticians at the ready in the captain’s cabin; ready to steer your makeup regime on course with a free makeover. All guests will receive 10 percent off Benefit products and the first ten tickets will get a complimentary brow wax – which is more than you can say for your local multiplex.

HMS Film Club takes place at The Good Ship Benefit at R.S Hispaniola, Victoria Embankment, WC2N 5DJ. August 10-12. Tickets cost £25. For details head here.
