Fabric has announced its newest resident to impress regulars and wow the crowds – a tiny black kitten! The Farringdon club introduced the world to its first office pet yesterday on Facebook, inviting people to think of names for it. And the internet responded with thousands of ideas, no doubt inspired by the cute kitty and the reward of a silver card, which allows free entry to the club for life.
While a considerable number of people proposed various brands of laundry softener (‘fabric’, geddit?), there were some pretty brilliant pun-tastic suggestions referencing illustrious residents and DJ royalty including Purrrson Sound, Ricardo Villalopaws, Meowie B, Carl Cat, Felix da Housecat and Craig Whiskers. Many put forward variations on the name Marcus Intalex to honour the groundbreaking producer who died recently.
