Plant lovers! If you're in the market for a seriously sharp new house plant, get this for cutting edge: a stylish boutique that just sells cacti has opened in Dalston. The brilliantly named Prick was founded by Gynelle Leon, an award-winning photographer who fell in love with the spiky plants on holiday to Morocco in 2011.

The cacti, which the 30-year-old gets from around the country and Holland, range from £3.75 for a snazzy windowsill number to a couple of hundred for a 25-year-old plant. She also works with local artists to make sure they're looking good in stylish terracotta ‘prick pots’. But that's not all – for those who are new to the whole owning-a-cactus thing, the shop plans to host monthly 'Cactus and Chill' DJ nights to give folks a chance to hang out with her quirky, thorny collection (from a safe distance, obvs).
