The folks behind Green Man Festival in Wales are leaving the valleys behind next weekend and heading to the big smoke for a weekend of booze, street food and live music in King's Cross. The mini festival is called Courtyard and it'll be sticking to its Welsh roots with over 100 Welsh beers and ciders and street food from a selection of Welsh vendors. As well as loads of food and drink, there will be live music, circus performers and a good old-fashioned pub quiz. And before you get too pissed, you can learn a thing or two at one of the talks on all things beer including how to pair your beer with food, the connection between music and beer and er, 'beer beauty' (your guess is as good as ours).

Entry is free but you can buy drinks packages in advance if you want to beat the queues for a pint.

Courtyard is at Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross, N1C 4AB. September 10–13. Thursday–Saturday noon–11pm, Sunday noon–10.30pm. Free.
