Sweet cheesus! Someone's made a Kickstarter for mail-order toasties

We've professed our love for cheese many times on this blog, so it will come as no surprise that news of a toastie service that delivers your lunch in the post had us in a melty dairy frenzy. And to top it all off it has a fantastic pun for a name. But the logistics! Will London's posties be suing for scalded hands and dangerous stomach rumblings on their morning rounds? No need to panic; the letterbox-friendly packages come filled with ingredients that you must then assemble, pop into a special heatproof bag and then toast in your local kitchen/office tea station.

The Cheese Posties (there it is!) come in a range of flavour combinations. Bread is of the posh, 'artisan' variety (despite that being against traditional cheese toastie standards) and fillings will include Cornish blue cheese, Port Salut, chorizo and even Nutella. Best of all, each sandwich comes with a collectable toastie top trumps card. We're concerned about the lack of refrigeration while it's in the hands of the Royal Mail, but not concerned enough to not eat them. We always did love getting things in the post.

Cheese Posties will cost £3.99 per delivery. The Kickstarter opens on Tuesday June 23. Enjoy some more melted cheese pictures at cheeseposties.com.
