Wednesday just got a hell of a lot more exciting (for tea drinkers) with the news that the Teapigs team will be dishing out over 100,000 brews across the country in celebration of Free Tea Day.

At Waterloo, London's busiest station, you'll be able to pick your type of tea according to your mood. Whether you're feeling tired, grumpy or just plain hungover, a good cup of tea will sort you out. Teapigs only use whole leaf teas; whole berries; and whole herbs and flowers – not the dusty stuff you’ll find in that box of tea bags at the back of your kitchen cupboard. Their teas come in biodegradable 'tea temples' – roomy mesh bags that gives the leaves lots of room to infuse.

Take your pick from punchy herbal teas such as peppermint, chamomile, oolong and rooibos or order a good strong builders' brew. Chocolate flake tea or chilli chai and matcha green tea are also options for anyone feeling adventurous.

If you're not planning to be in Waterloo on Wednesday, you can still grab a free tea from the Tea Bus or from Charing Cross, Liverpool Street, and King's Cross between 7am-9.30am. Keep an eye on their social media to see where they will be throughout the day. Finally, something for commuters to smile about!
