Banish those winter blues and any other politically-induced blues you may be feeling by heading to the Canvas Cafe in Shoreditch, where London's first happy cafe is hosting a regular event to cheer up miserable Londoners.

The programme will run a different themed event every week, and kicks off with 'Tick the Bucket Tuesdays', which will hopefully remind you of all those things you wanted to do before you got chained to a 40 hour week.

Other events on the cards include 'Well-being Wednesdays': arts and crafts evenings creating compassion cards, Christmas decorations, mindful colouring-in and art therapy; 'Feel Good Thursdays' where the theme is fun; which encourages you to celebrate being alive. How? With chocolate and feel-good films of course. 'Free your Mind Fridays' is all about mindfulness and meditation. Weekends will be dedicated to sharing the work of charities and organisations making a difference. The series is topped off with a Sunday beginners yoga session. And at £1.50 a coffee you're bound to leave with a smile on your face.

The Museum of Happiness is at The Canvas Café, 42 Hanbury St, London, E1 5JL.
