If you've taken a stroll down Oxford Street lately, it won't have escaped your notice that it's already beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Last week, we shared the news that while we're only just coming to terms with the end of summer, the Christmas lights are already in place on Oxford Street. They've refrained from turning them on just yet because, well, it's October. But the official switch-on will happen on November 1, giving you a whole month to enjoy the festive lights before we even hit December. The street will be decked out with silver lights and 445 golden baubles and for the first time, the road will be traffic-free on the day the lights turn on, so that you can enjoy the view without all those pesky buses getting in the way.
