Remember the Peckham Coal Line? No? Let us refresh your memory. In December last year, architect Nick Woodford came up with the idea to turn Peckham's disused railway coal sidings into a kilometre-long elevated urban park, which was excitedly dubbed 'London's answer to the New York High Line'. It might have sounded like a pipe dream, but the folks behind the project started a crowdfunding campaign and it's now officially beaten its target, raising £75,682 – over £10,000 more than the original goal. So, they've got the money, but what happens now? The organisers are working up a feasibility study and will then appoint a firm to help understand the engineering needs, look at benefits to the local community and come up with a plan for how to fund and maintain the route over time.

Find out more about the Peckham Coal Line.

Want a new cause to fund? The floating cycle path has started a crowdfunding campaign.

And have you heard that the Garden Bridge is (almost) definitely going ahead?
