You know that weirdo ex who lurks around your social media profiles, clicking ‘like’ on old pictures of you at the beach, ‘poking’ you every couple of months and making you feel totally creeped on? Well guess what? That’s what the whole world is effectively doing – and the object of its obsession is London. That’s right: we are the most googled city in the world for cultural institutions. The Science, Natural History and British Museums are the three most searched for museums on earth. London’s theatres are also the most digitally sought after. I mean, it’s nice to be wanted and all. But give us some room here, world. You’re suffocating us.
