If you like piña coladas… well, you’re in luck. As London Cocktail Week continues, a dedicated tiki festival will be calling on London’s best bartenders to help make the world’s biggest piña colada. A 500-litre pineapple-shaped vessel will be taking pride of place at Spirit of Tiki on Friday, the one-day festival being held at the Langham to celebrate Polynesian-style drinking.
They’ll be filling it up with rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice and lime bitters from 2pm with Mahiki’s bar manager overseeing all the fruity action. Ticket-holders can have a try of this giant, dreamy drink from 3pm, but personally, we’ll be packing our swimming cossie for a proper taste.
