Spent all your money on Christmas presents already? Just because you're broke and it's December, you don't have to subsist solely on mince pies – here are three places to get FREE food this weekend. You're welcome.

Free brunch at Dirty Bones Kensington

Hungover and live in W8? It's your lucky day! Dirty Bones Kensington is offering free brunch from noon to 2pm this Sunday to all local residents. But you'll have to prove it – so make sure you bring an addressed piece of post plus your ID. And if you don't live in the area but happen to know someone who does, you can 'politely suggest' they bring you along as only one of you needs to have a W8 postcode. You'll get one free dish off the new brunch menu, which includes the Benedict burger, a green cheese toastie or breakfast fries topped with a fried egg, which should satisfy any desperate carb cravings. December 13, noon-2pm. 20 Kensington Church St, W8 4EP.

Free burgers at Honest Burgers

Got plans for lunch on Saturday? Cancel 'em and get yourself over to Honest Burgers' new branch in Peckham. They'll be giving away 250 burgers from 11.30am until they run out, which we're guessing will happen pretty swiftly. They're also showing some love for local residents with another 250 free burgers for folks with an SE15 postcode. December 12, from 11.30am. Blenheim Grove, Peckham, SE15 4QW.

Free food giveaway at Le Pain Quotidien

Okay, we know you said you don't have to live off mince pies, but these ones are free! Le Pain Quotidien kicks off a week of free food and drink this Saturday (December 12), with free mince pies with every hot drink purchased between 2.30pm and 4.30pm and free scones on Sunday. This is the gift that keeps on giving, as they'll be offering different free food and drink deals up until December 18, including free bottles of wine and free dessert.
