1. China’s mid-autumn festival is coming to London with ‘mooncakes’ – a traditional sweet treat symbolic of the season’s first full moon. Try a tasting flight of mooncakes with some speciality cocktails while listening to old LPs at Tea Room at Bunhouse. Find it on Tottenham Court Road.

2. Hackney’s Behind This Wall bar will be hosting a series of local chefs from E1-E9 postcodes each Wednesday this October. E is the Magic Number starts today with Chick ’n’ Sours’ Carl Clarke.

3. The National Theatre Posters exhibition opens today. Curated by design critic and writer Rick Poynor, this show of retro graphic designs charts NT poster art from the ‘60s to the present day.
