1. Visit 'North: Fashioning Identity', Somerset House’s latest exhibition featuring contemporary photography, fashion collections and multimedia artworks highlighting how northern English life in the 20th century continues to influence new generations of creatives. It opens today and tickets cost £7.

2. Listen to Sue Unerman, the Chief Strategic Officer at MediaCom, and Kathryn Jacob, who is CEO of Pearl and Dean, chat about how women are, and should, be treated in the workplace at this free talk. It's part of co-working space WeWork's series of intimate talks 'The Thinking Stage' and is being held at their space in Moorgate. Register for your free place on their website.

3. Get involved in the music business at a week-long House of MTV pop-up, with panels, live shows and insider info. Head along for the launch party at Hackney House at 7pm tonight, where Kojey Radical, SG Lewis, Becca Dudley and women's collective GRL PWR Gang will be supplying the soundtrack. Tickets are £5.
