You probably already know about Dreamland, Margate's recently refurbished amusement park that boasts a Grade II* listed scenic railway and design by Wayne Hemingway. Back in 1989 it was the location Del Boy, Rodney, Uncle Albert and pals visited in the 'Only Fools and Horses' Christmas special, and next week they'll be holding an exhibition of props and costumes from the TV series in the beautiful 1920s ballroom. As well as visiting Del Boy's flat and seeing the three-wheeled Reliant Regal Supervan III, visitors over the bank holiday weekend will be greeted by Boycie (John Challis) and Marlene (Sue Holderness) themselves. A bloody lovely excuse for a trip to the seaside.
