It’s summer: best time of the year! There’s flying ants! The really vile smell of sun-baked bins! Tube carriages that feel like saunas! Actually, wait a minute: there are plenty of things about summer that suck.

Fortunately, Time Out is here to put on a party that’s going to be totally awesome and whose guestlist strictly forbids flying ants (if you’re reading this and you’re a flying ant: don’t even bother). For the second year running, we’ll be taking over Hornsey Town Hall between August 19 and 20 for our Summer Shindig, featuring awesome gigs from electro-swing duo The Correspondents and the Balkan-inflected, brassy indie of Molotov Jukebox, plus Time Out DJs until 2am, street food and a board games room.

Plus, on the Saturday, there will be all-day village fete-based shenanigans including croquet, plus Pimm's and scones. Also, it’s only a tenner. Oh, and it’s the same weekend that the night tube launches! You’re welcome.
