Literary Death Match
Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.
This always outstanding, highly successful, international competitive reading event hasn't visited our shores for a fair while now and we're so excited that it's back. For those of you who are new to LDM, the premise is simple: it's like 'X Factor', but with literary nerds. Four people read, there are three judges and one ludicrously non-literary finale. Plus DJs and drinks until late.
Tonight you can see arts critic (and alter-ego of SJ Parris) Stephanie Merritt, crime-fiction author Mark Billingham and moustachioed, whimsical comic Mike Wozniak judging. the readers. So far, author/director Andri Magnason and comedy writer Mitch Benn have been confirmed to read.
