As part of the British Library's 'Propaganda: Power and Persuasion' exhibtion (running until Sep 17), which details the evolution of state propaganda – from ancient Greece to the present day – leading historians of the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc, Anne Applebaum, Orlando Figes and Jeremy Hicks and satirical cartoonist Andrej Krauze explore the techniques, publications, posters and films used in propaganda in the communist era.
