You might have noticed there's some sort of giant sports day thing happening in London this summer. The Zeit Geists – aka Leela Bunce and Matthew Floyd Jones, aka Audacity Chutzpah and Mannish (partner of Frisky) – have decided to get into the spirit with this brand new clowning and vaudeville shebang exploring the notion that taking part is more important than winning. But is it? Cue singing, dancing, mugging, showing off and (it says here) 'epic feats of athleticism'. The preview show was uneven (as preview shows are) but bursting with inventive attention to music, comedy, visual impact and dramatic structure, with a witty throughline following an unseen plucky underdog; for these finished shows, they'll be going for gold.
