Best cabaret shows in Soho

Where to see the hottest acts in the West End's cabaret haven

Over the past decade or so, London’s burlesque and cabaret scene has had many epicentres, from Bethnal Green to Vauxhall. But despite its hedonistic heritage, Soho hasn’t always been the most dynamic area to catch good shows.

That’s starting to change. The acts we selected to pose alongside Steve Coogan for our Soho-themed issue – shot at Madame Jojo’s, one of the district’s most venerable venues – all strut their stuff in the heart of Soho on a regular basis in wildly different ways.

And they’re far from alone, with corking established nights at the Café de Paris (from the Black Cat gang on Fridays and the Wam Bam Club on Saturdays), ‘Mat Ricardo’s London Varieties’ once a month at the Leicester Square Theatre and various Soho bars launching cabaret nights almost every week…
