Dreamachine

The Brion Gysin Dreamachine was created by Gysin and William Burroughs to generate natural hallucinations through strobing flicker effects viewed with closed eyes – apparently Kurt Cobain used one soon before his death. As well as the machine itself, this installation event includes talks by Terry Wilson, Ian MacFadyen, Rikki Stein and Joep Bremmers, music from Robert Hampson, films featuring the likes of Aphex Twin, Marianne Faithfull and Burroughs, and plenty more.
