Boxfresh Presents Where Were You? with Lisa Maffia + Preditah + Big Narstie

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.

Nowadays, you can hear grime and garage tunes ring out through various enormodomes or soundtracking an advert for a goji berry smoothie – and no-one bats an eyelid. But it wasn’t always like this. Both scenes were nurtured in dingy underground London clubs for years before the mainstream muscled in and sweetened it all up. Celebrating this legacy is Where Were You?, a party presented by clothing brand Boxfresh, showing that at least parts of the mainstream seem to know what they're doing.

The event brings together various crucial players from both scenes from across the decades. Repping garage is Lisa Maffia of 2-step upstarts So Solid Crew, soulful UKG producer Groove Chronicles (who's produced some superb, underrated garage tracks during his career) and scene veteran Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont. Flying the grime flag is genre-splicing innovator and glitchy bass ace Preditah, plus DJs Logan Sama and Sir Spyro going back-to-back, with MC Big Narstie adding lyrical wallop. Get ready for a barnstormingly fun history lesson.
