Plastic People may no longer host seminal bass night FWD, but after a refurb the club is unleashing a new series of Thursday parties to fill the FWD-shaped hole, except that it's now about much more than bass, as demonstrated by tonight's line-up. Daniel Miller, founder of experimental electronica, synth and Krautrock label Mute Records – home to Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire and Nick Cave's Grinderman over the years – will be spinning dark and weird delights alongside awesome Chicago innovator Traxx, who dabbles delightfully in house, techno, acid and electro. Plastic People looks to be back in its element.
