Gloriously over-the-top, super-fun crew Mariah & Friendz (described by organisers as a queer cabaret night and dance party that's only partially about a certain diva) are back for more drag, burlesque and risqué cabaret action. This time they're celebrating New Year's Eve 1999, in August 2015, obviously. Reason being that 1999 contained various momentous pop events, including the debuts of Britney and J Lo, plus Mariah celebrating her 29th birthday: crucial stuff.
As such, everything at this full-fat-fun party – including performances, music and costumes – will be themed around 1999. We're sure Prince would thoroughly approve. There will likely be lots of dancing to party jams and cheesy pop, and probably a great deal of silly/sleazy fun to be had, especially when 'New Year' hits at midnight. Don't be shy on the costume front, y'hear?
