The artist formerly known as Dave Spoon – purveyor of big, clubbed-up house tracks – was reborn as Shadow Child a few years ago, now favouring deeper, bassier sounds, but still aimed squarely at the dancefloor. With releases on the ace Dirtybird label, he's hit a lot of the right notes with a lot of people, and this NYE show at Shoreditch club XOYO should go down a treat. Also on the bill is glitchy R&B and house producer Karka Kid, bangin' house duo Mak & Pasteman and disco dude Kiwi.
