The more sedate Bloomsbury branch of Covent Garden's Spanish restaurant serves imaginative Spanish fare over two floors – downstairs specialises in tapas while upstairs the more formal, semi-private Cadaqués restaurant can be hired out in its entirety. As well as the likes of patatas bravas, ham croquettes and Andalucían-style crispy baby squid, a range of cocktails add to the appeal.

I work particularly close to Salvador and Amanda's in Bloomsbury so it regularly becomes an after work bar to drink in. Happy hour is good offering wine for £11 a bottle and deals on beers and sangria too. The staff are friendly but it does get busy so not always the quickest service. The restaurant upstairs can be slightly quieter if you're wanting to eat. I would recommend this bar for drinking and dancing but less so for food - the other Salvador and Amanda in Leicester Square would be better as it has a better restaurant atmosphere.

I recently visited on a weeknight, and it had a very different feel from the usual Friday and Saturday nights. A great bar tucked away in the midst of Covent Garden. Great selection of cocktails and ambient seating to meet up for a first date, or catch up with friends after work. Service was outstanding and friendly, would recommend.

We had our work Christmas party at Salvador & Amanda. The staff we dealt with when booking were very friendly. They have a number of great tapas on the menu and some good drink specials (happy hour). When booking the party meal, you have a choice of a number of different tapas dishes for a party meal and are charged per head. The food was more than enough for the number of guests we had.

There was a great atmosphere, and the music was fun, but a bit too loud - we found it difficult to have a conversation with the person next to us. At around 10pm the lights were dimmed and the DJ arrived. I would come back again under different circumstances, say, with friends for a night out.

5 of us booked a table here for a friends leaving do who was off to South America for a few months.

We were seated on a very small table so asked to push a few together which was begrudgingly done. Between all of us we ordered a lot of food! And drink! The food comes out as it is ready so sometimes between the 5 of us a few were able to eat and a few had to wait for the next dish. The food was OK for the most part (nothing special) but for the most part it was awful.

The bill at the end came to SO much, it was ridiculous. For the poor service and the average food (I came away still hungry) I was so outraged. Won't be back!

Absolutely love the tapas here! Very good selection and very tasty favourite restaurant to go for a romantic meal or a catch up with friends as well as my 30 birthday party.sophistacted atmosphere , thoroughly enjoyable food
