If you need us to tell you why Stevie Wonder is important to modern music and why he deserves a night dedicated to his songs, please do the following: 1) Roll up a copy of the nearest magazine (which should be Time Out, obviously) into a sturdy cone. 2) Thwack yourself over the back of the head with said cone. 3) Go and listen to the albums ‘Innervisions’ and ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’. 5) Mop up the tears you’ll cry when you realise what you’ve been missing out on. 6) Head to this event, where in-house band The Beekays play Stevie’s superbly soulful songs, followed by DJs spinning his tunes and other similarly funky prospects until 2.30am.
