Underbelly

Like the ground level bar (Zigfrid) above it, Underbelly is designed by Paul Daly and manages to be funky, fun, edgy and comfy all at once, with chestnut-panelled walls and a hand-painted ceiling displaying a riotous assembly of '70s porn, pets and jungle motifs… The bar has a comfort-food menu but the main attraction is the fresh wave of programming brought in by Dominic Cools-Lartigue (Alpine Fever). Zigfrid is free, some Underbelly events charge admission. Still, when the DJs/bands aren't on there's always the fine jukebox too.
