The Pub Landlord returns! All hail to the ale!

Can you believe Al Murray has now spent 20 years as one of the finest comedy character creations in the country, the Pub Landlord? After battling Farage in South Thanet, Murray's headlng to the Underbelly Festival with his new show, 'Let's Go Backwards Together'. The Pub Landlord's a national treasure, and one never short of an opinion of topical issues, so expect some gags on the Brexit fall-out. And remember, punters: please take your glasses back to the bar…

Saw Al Murray at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Friday 10th October 2014. 'One man, one Guvnor' tour.

Very funny from start to finish, as always. Al is extremely clever and 'quick witted' when speaking to the audience and extracting information from them. Add to this his antics at the beer pull, and slopping and drinking beer all over the place. Any heckling from the audience was dealt with in style (using it to his advantage..and anyone going to the toilet, or arriving late were singled out naturally). He got quite a few laughs when noticing a woman drinking beer instead of the obligatory white wine, fruit based drink for the ladies. Language is rife, but part of the course. Only downside..on this tour..disappointingly NO RAMROD!!

(Missed him!). All in all a rolicking good laugh an night's entertainment...some new phrases learnt along the way..and in true pub landlord style I shall be using one of his latest phrases to address most things in life...'No, it is the way of my people!'. Jaynie K (Tipton, West Midlands.
