Founded in 1981, this venue is still run with huge enthusiasm by the immensely knowledgeable promoter, Pete Grahame. In late 2015, the club had a big refurbishment, including installing facilities for internet broadcast.
It's an easy-going club with a popular pub over the basement venue, where photographs of previous acts line the walls like a comedy hall of fame. Below ground, comedians tend to experiment and play around with complete freedom, and acts range from variety and cabaret to quality names such as Simon Munnery and Stewart Lee.

I should come here more often, I've been three times and each time caught some absolute gems performing stand up! I saw Diane Morgan (aka Philomena Cunk) maybe about a year ago and that was incredible! Kings Head has a great reputation in the comedy circle, definitely a great shout for Local Culture Award
Such a great comedy club. Always really good acts. Great size so feels intimate but you can still squeeze in a fair few. And the recent addition of a bar means you haven't even got to go upstairs for that any more!
