Time Out says

Throgmortons was a fancy pants restaurant owned by J Lyons and Co, which opened in 1900 right in the heart of the financial district. But following its closure in 2010, it's now being turned into a ramshackle pop-up comedy venue, Heroes Grotto of Comedy. It's the brainchild of Bob Slayer, who runs some ace venues at the Edinburgh Fringe, and the Grotto will play host to shows featuring Stewart Lee, Josie Long, John Kearns and many more.
