Who? A low-key youngster who’s been quietly honing his act on the circuit for three years.
What? And we mean ‘quietly’. Khoshsokhan’s stories are delivered in an innocent, softly spoken tone that’s only just audible.
Why? He’s not as nervous as he seems. His whispering voice forces a room into silence until they’re hooked on his every word, so each delicately delivered punchline gets the biggest laugh possible. Khoshsokhan’s material cleverly manipulates the crowd, too – you’re constantly trying to work out if he’s really so naive.
Where? You can catch Amir Khoshsokhan at the Soho Comedy Club on Friday February 20.
