Who? A fast-rising sketch trio – Stevie Martin, Liz Smith and Tessa Coates – who cram two or three jokes into each line and have an eye for big, stupid visual gags.

What? The show’s narrative explains that Massive Dad were assembled 18 months ago after jointly winning comedy’s version of the Hunger Games. Now they tour the world performing skits.

Why? In reality, the troupe met in Durham University’s sketch group and genuinely is 18 months old (in sketch years that’s just past ‘shitting yourself’). Yet they’ve already produced an impressively slick debut show that’s brimming with smart, unexpected jokes.
