Time Out says

The 'Taskmaster' star and panel show regular brings her one-person stag do to the West End

2017 was a mighty busy year for Sara Pascoe. Not only did she sell out her entire month-long Edinburgh Fringe run before the festival even began, the Dagenham-born comic appeared on pretty much every panel show going, adapted ‘Pride and Prejudice’ for the stage, and went on a ‘one-person stag do’.

Who was getting married? Well, no one. Having recently broken up with her boyfriend of four years, Pascoe started writing her new show by ‘whinging about how unfair it was that people who don’t get married miss out on fun stuff like hen parties and expensive divorces,’ she explains. ’Then I tried to be more positive, exploring how I could do things by myself and I decided to have some adventures. I went to Paris by myself for Valentine’s Day, I went to my first football match, and I hired a male stripper for my solo stag… But then I got too nervous and cancelled it.’

‘LadsLadsLads‘ is Pascoe’s most personal show yet. The more she performs the less ‘filter’ she applies to her comedy, she says. ‘I’ve always been unintentionally open – don’t ever tell me a secret. And ten years of yapping into a mic means I can’t help but be over-sharing sometimes.’

Alongside the full houses, the show received rave reviews in Edinburgh. So after a blistering 2017, what better way for Pascoe to kick off her new year than with a string of West End dates? It’s her first run in theatreland and she’s excited. But there’s something else she’s looking forward to this year. ‘After the shows I’m going straight to Vegas to watch “Magic Mike Live” for my solo stag do,’ she says. ‘I really am. I can’t wait. I’ll get at least five minutes of material out of that, right?’
