You would think that flowers and dinner is a rather ordinary culinary experience, but what about flowers for dinner?
St Martin’s Courtyard in Covent Garden will host a Food and Flowers Festival on Saturday 13 July with all six unique restaurants creating exclusive dishes and drinks using edible flowers. One lucky Time Out reader will win two tickets for a floral-note wine tasting taking place at Italian enoteca Dalla Terra on the day of the event and for a meal for two afterwards.
The prize also includes dinner and a cocktail for two at Mexican Cantina Laredo, lunch at Bombay café Dishoom and a three course meal with wine at Suda Thai so you’ll have the opportunity to taste your way around the courtyard after the event.
Once you've had your fair shair of flora-based dishes, the winner will be given two places on one of their exciting floral design evening courses at The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers.
Plus the winner will also receive a pair of Joules’ signature floral wellies, a statement corsage necklace by Banana Republic, The Luxury Flowers Gift Set from The White Company and £500 shopping vouchers.

A Portuguese restaurant in Stockwell, Campino is from a family that's been running London restaurants since '95. Expect traditional Portuguese breakfasts followed by Mediterranean dishes at lunch and dinner, many with a Portuguese bent. That means a menu ranging from grilled sardines, tricolore salad and bruschetta to T-bone steaks, grilled spare ribs, diced pork with sauteed potatoes and baby clams and espetada Madeirense – a traditional Madeiran skewer of meat here served with chips and salad. Salted grilled cod, octopus, tuna steak and whole grilled sea bass also feature.
Venue says: “Open for coffee and pastries in the morning and classic Portuguese dishes for lunch and dinner. Just minutes from Stockwell station.”
