Retro looks are recreated with aplomb in ‘Britannica 1951-1953’, a new Jubilee-pegged exhibition at Selfridges. Based on three celebratory Britannica issues of British Vogue published between 1951 and 1953, the show reimagines a range of outfits from the period. Fashion academic Judith Clark has curated the show, and milliner Stephen Jones has also had a hand in planning, so expect a creative pink cap to complete each look. The free show is taking place in the store’s Ultralounge and is part of the Selfridges Big British Bang series – a fun programme of Blighty-inspired in-store events.
