Annie-B Parsons' '17c' is a romp through Samuel Pepys' diaries, bringing their philandering, vain, obsessively self-chronicling author to life. This ambitious piece of dance theatre premiered in New York last year, where critics' praised its feminist spin on a narrative of greatness, and its focus on Pepys' unfortunate wife Bess. It gets its London premiere as part of Dance Umbrella 2018.
