Dance United is a charity that believes dance has the power to transform lives and their latest project is a 'A Holding Space', a performance that brings together professional and non-professional dancers from the UK, the US and Ethiopia in five different pieces. Choreographers involved include Russell Maliphant and Dam Van Huynh. Performers include the Ethiopian dancers Junaid Jemal Sendi and Addisu Demissie, who were selected to take part in a Dance United project in 1996, aged 12, and went on to found Ethiopia's first contemporary dance company.
