An Evening of Butoh-inspired Dance

Two works inspired by the Japanese dance form of butoh. Multi-disciplinary artist/performer Florence Guerberof explores the idea of a nomadic existence in 'Mi patria son mis zapatos' ('My hometown is my shoes'), using movement, primitive drums and song. That's followed by 'The Other', by writer and movement analyst SOnal. For those who haven't seen it, butoh is an intense, slow-moving art examining the human condition that often provokes a love/hate response.
