Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía

Ruben Olmo presents his company Ballet Flamenco de Andalucia as part of the annual Sadler's Wells Flamenco Festival. In an artform usually performed solo, a stageful of stamping, clapping dancers certainly has an impact. This show, 'Metaforo', draws on classical and folk dance and is full of the trappings of traditional flamenco – shawls and castanets and those frilly layered bata de cola skirts –but it has a modern spin too, with an appearance from the brilliant soloist Rocío Molina.
