BP Summer Screens: Madam Butterfly

High culture comes free at this series of outdoor broadcasts live from the Royal Opera House. This week's showing – relayed to screens in Trafalgar Square, Canada Square Park in Canary Wharf and Walthamstow Town Square – is Puccini's opera 'Madam Butterfly', performed by the Royal Opera Company. A hum-along session precedes the performance (from 7pm). The performance lasts around three hours. You are welcome to take a picnic and advised to pack a cushion or blanket (no portable seating is permitted). A further screening in the series takes place on July 13.
