C-Jam

Tuesdays at the Bedford is the big night for south London swing dancers. Weekly party C-Jam starts with a class, followed by social dancing. Sometimes live music too. Organiser Martin Ellis of Swingland is hot on Savoy-style Lindy hop – that's what they danced at Harlem's Savoy Ballroom in the '30s and '40s. Harlem, Balham – much the same really.
