Currency is a showcase of new European work presented in an interactive format. Each night two international artists are invited to perform, but before the show the audience can sit in on a discussion between the visiting artists and a London-based choreographer, followed by dinner in the Place cafe. The idea is to create an informal atmosphere where artists and audience can exchange ideas and opinions about dance. This is small-scale experimental work, thought to be the most interesting on the Continent right now. Artists are Jan Martens (Belgium) and Clément Layes (France/Germany), Nov 20; Mor Shani (Israel/Netherlands) and Alessandro Sciarroni (Italy) , Nov 23; Tabea Martin (Switzerland) and Alma Söderberg (Sweden), Nov 27.
