In philosophy, 'aporia' means the difficulty of establishing truth when there's evidence for and against, in simple terms, a contradiction – a bit like the way a zombie is dead and alive at the same time. That's the starting point for Brooklyn-based choreographer Daniel Linehan's 'Zombia Aporia', although whether the undead will actually appear remains to be seen. (Let's hope so.) More likely, Linehan will be working with other unusual hybrids, clashing musical and dance rhythms, for example, and positing the idea that no aspect of a performance can exist in isolation.
