Tate Modern's new live art space, The Tanks, hosts a week-long residency by Japanese artist Ei Arakawa. Arakawa uses elements of dance, sculpture, drawing, video and sound in his work. Daytime events during this residency include an art historical workshop looking at cross-disciplinary performance and early ballet productions in 1920s Japan. Evening events include 'Single's Night', where singles are invited to dance with paintings by artist Jutta Koether, and 'Kissing the Canvas', a non-dance dance performance.
