If you missed its Christmas run at Sadler's Wells, here's another chance to see Matthew Bourne's revamped 'Cinderella'. In typical Bourne style, there's a twist: here the fairytale becomes a wartime romance when Cinders meets a dashing RAF pilot but their budding love is interrupted by the Blitz. The reimagining works and Bourne pulls out some clever ideas around fate, fantasy and a slightly feminist slant on transforming yourself for a man. Bourne's longtime collaborator Lez Brotherston creates the slick set and Paul Groothius has designed a surround sound experience with bombs flying and air raid sirens wailing over Prokofiev's fantastic score.
