Meryl Tankard's The Oracle

A UK premiere of Australian choreographer Meryl Tankard's ode to the 'Rite of Spring', marking the centenary of the revolutionary work. Tankard trained as a ballet dancer and was a long-time performer with Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal, and her work draws on those diverse influences and more. 'The Oracle', set to the Stravinsky score, is an intense solo for dancer Paul White, exploring the forces of nature, man, masculinity and femininity.
