M¡longa

When it first debuted in 2013, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's 'M¡longa' was the first international large-scale tango production by a non-Argentine choreographer. Quite what that means for tango, we're not sure, but the piece was a success and returns now for a global tour. Cherkaoui's piece explores the passionate dance from an alternate cultural perspective and the results are intriguing. This is big-scale entertainment.
